Ontario Securities Commission (OSC)

The OSC is an independent Crown agency responsible for regulating Ontario's capital markets. I joined the OSC as a project lead and content strategist responsible for leading all levels of development for the OSC's new Capital Markets Tribunal website. As the project lead and content strategist, I routinely;

- worked with internal stakeholders, team members, management, and external design and development vendors to lead and advance all stages of website development from discovery, design, building, QA, launch, and post-launch.

- scheduled and hosted regular team meetings to provide status updates and advance progress.

- performed QA on website features/functionalities, worked with project managers, developers, and designers to approve/rectify website design and performance.

- built website content using the Drupal CMS.

- planned and achieved targets for all stages of website development including post-launch initiatives.

- presented website demonstrations to Directors, Vice Chair, and CEO at the OSC.

Capital Markets Tribunal Website

The Capital Markets Tribunal website is available in both English and French. I was responsible for leading and gaining approval from stakeholders and vendors on design, development, quality assurance, launch, and post-launch. In addition to building content and full webpages using the Drupal CMS, I provided recommendations and optimizations as a content strategist regarding user journeys, how content should be built and presented on the website, and how best to accommodate changing stakeholder requests amidst new deadlines.

OSC Management Feedback

Andross is a positive, productive team player with a "can do" attitude. He is a skilled project leader who is well organized and diligent, and has worked hard to establish relationships with the project team and our key stakeholders on the project. Andross came up to speed quickly on the Capital Markets Tribunal website project, since joining at the end of August. He worked effectively with the Project Coordinator to establish reporting and communications protocols early in the project, and is comfortable leading weekly project team meetings.

Andross has been successful leading the development of the Tribunal website, and has been flexible in adapting to the uncertainty around delivery dates. His work has been critical to the success of the project, and he kept the project deliverables on schedule. He has also worked to develop a deeper understanding of the impact of technical changes on the website user experience.

I am confident that Andross has the skills and experience to manage change through the site warranty period, and build processes for ongoing maintenance and enhancement discussions. I look forward to working with him on a successful launch.
